One might say the same thing for another carrier but, currently, there is not "United Express Airlines" or "Delta Connection Airlines." There is, however as of right now, a "American Eagle AIRLINES."
Perhaps it would be best to wait and hear the causes of this incident, study it and then learn from it. I suspect this would be much more useful than worrying about one's "supposed" reputation.

I seriously doubt any passenger has bought a ticket on AE because they perceived that they had a better reputation than another regional lift provider.
