I agree.

Saying new hires should stay away from a regional so that the current pilots could more easily get a better contract is tantamount to a mainline pilot saying that RAH pilots should go scope themselves on behalf of mainline pilots so that we could more easily get a better contract and not have to negotiate scope.

So go demand from RAH that you have limits on range, demand you park all jet aircraft and then limit seating to Dash 8-200 or less. Then that way Delta will have no other option then to let us fly the E-Jets and E145s and we'll demand higher pay for the wide bodies. If we do it from our end, geeish, it'll cost us a fortune. Do it for us.

Now before you laugh, know I ran into a CAL pilot who said this very thing once at the Applebees bar in Cleveland. He had a few and his friend had to pull him out. I'm not sure looking back if he was going to punch me or not and I was 23 and clueless as to what he was talking about. What's scope? Fun times.

That said, I do have a question. I had a buddy interview last week and I wanted to ask how long before you hear back yeah or nay on the job?
