Why would anyone bid 717 over MD88? The shorter legs on the 717 will mean you'll be flying more legs per day for probably the same pay. The AirTran guys used to do up to 5 or 6 legs a day in that thing, how is DAL scheduling their crews on the 717?
If people are going over to the 717 for the modern cockpit, well I guess that's one plus. But its basically an RJ lifestyle. So what are the advantages of going 717?
