The QOL difference between reserve and line holder at RAH is immense. I know FOs that bypass upgrade until they can hold a line as CA before taking the upgrade just to avoid the horrible reserve here... Do as you wish...
I live close to EWR and reserve is not to bad if they don't call you much, which does anyone know if you get called off reserve a bunch?
Dude you clearly haven't done your homework. RAH reserve sucks. You'll be used very single day. You will fly more hours than a line holder. When I was on reserve the least I credited was 88 hours. It was terrible. You should try to get LGA on the Chautauqua or Shuttle side...at least there you'll see movement and hold a line one day. LGA is junior on both certificates.
If you take the Q you will be PIT based for years and you'll be commuting to reserve.
