My HS GPA was a 2.6 and my College GPA was a 2.8.
Then I joined the USMC on a flying contract. Excelled in T-34s, nearly washed out of Intermediate/Advance jet training in the T-45 and was average in F/A-18 training. Then I went to the fleet, worked my a$$ off and performed well enough to get follow on orders to be an F/A-18 FRS Instructor.
I had one internal letter of rec and absolutely zero other connections to Delta and by the grace of something, I was lucky enough to get an interview and have subsequently been conditionally hired.
Point being, is that the airline application process is a psychological nightmare and will make even the most well decorated, experienced and confident individuals turn into insecure 11 year old girls. I was the same way, checking everything over and over again and wondering why, that after over a year of waiting, I had heard nothing. IT SUCKS!
And then one day the email or phone call will come and somehow you'll still feel like you’re still not ready. It's a weird, vicious circle.
Hang in there, do your due diligence and trust that the call is going to come!
