I jumpseat a lot, mostly with south crews. I also eat and drink with south crews a lot in Narita. I guess none of that counts in your world?

I agree with that for the most part. Except when you run across some fDAL line pilot policing uniform standards in the terminal. Or some fDAL guy who stands at the doorway pre departure, and gives a PA on how many traps he's got in the F14 and F18...and even though the copilot wasn't military, he's still a fine pilot. We just didn't have those kind of tight a$$es at NWA. The Western and Pan Am guys tell me the same thing.
