Imagining that there is some code about whether or not we hire only married military pilots or guys who belong to country clubs or guys with a master's degree or better is folly. If your time is competitive, you will eventually get called. Be prepared, be honest, and let it flow. Also, internal recommendations will help a ton, as you no doubt realize. I truly hope if this is where you want to work that you get your shot. Delta is a good place to work and the airline is hitting on all cylinders right now.
