OK, try this: Loeb bought $228 million worth of Fed Ex stock recently. Paulson purchased $74 million, and the infamous George Soros bought 1.5 million shares valued at $173 million.
Or, a little less than a quarter of what Fred owns after 40 years of running the place. Enough to have influence.

My comment was not on Loeb as a potential stockholder/board member, it was on the logic of the lefty slant of the article.
For the record, again, I want neither the right wing (according to Rolling Stone) Loeb nor the Left Wing Soros running the company I work for.
