I feel absolutely no sympathy for any pilot that complains about working at Mesa. I would go so far as to say I hold them in contempt. They b!tch about what a terrible place it is but stay there because they would rather accept the sh!tty work rules and horrible pay for the quick upgrade and a shot at a major.
I don't work for Mesa so I can't speak from an insiders perspective. But perhaps they didn't realize what they were getting themselves into. I wouldn't go as far as contempt but they should get out of the situation as soon as opportunity allows.
