Today, after a thorough review and discussion of the tentative agreement, the ASA and XJT MECs passed separate resolutions to send this tentative agreement out to the pilot group for a ratification vote. The two MECs also reviewed a comprehensive communications plan to ensure that each pilot has the opportunity to review the agreement and ask questions. This includes pilot roadshows in each domicile, all-pilot conference calls, crew room visits, and a dedicated public website.

The next step is for the Joint Negotiating Committee to prepare contract materials, including a summary of the agreement and other educational materials to accompany the full text language. The majority of this process will be completed within the next week.

We understand that there will be a lot of questions about this tentative agreement, and we are sure you are eager to see the contract. We ask for your continued patience as the materials are finalized. It has been a long three-and-a-half years of negotiations.
