I flew with a large group of guys who did exactly that, left turbo-prop gigs as captains to get FMS/glass time at RAH. I don't think it's a bad move if you are targeting airlines that heavily prefer advanced cockpit experience, but who really cares what we internet neckbeards think anyway? Do what you think is best.
