Since you only have ~900 tt, I don't see how it would hurt. You need 1500 for a regional or 1200 for 135 IFR. If it gives you a better chance at getting PIC in the Otter as opposed to upgrading right to left seat in the Otter, I'd probably do it.
That's the thing. It doesn't really give me a better chance. The chances are equal. It will get me to 1200 faster. But still need 1500 + an ATP before I can go to the left seat of the otter. And with the new ATP requirements, do I do another year in the right seat or go log some PIC in the mean time.
