Most of the SkyWest agreement contains provisions that say "will not be less than ASA/XJT JCBA." They will most likely be on par with us whenever this or the next TA is ratified.
I think that is part of the reason for this concessionary TA: we are negotiating for not two pilot groups, but all 6000+ pilots under the SkyWest INC umbrella. The more concessions are extracted from us, the more they can cram down the SkyWest pilots' throats.
Yes, it takes a lot more leverage to negotiate gains in 401k matching and health benefits when you have 3000 more pilots that will cost the company even more.
Anyway, I'm just relaying information given to me at the XJT MEC meeting. This TA is more expensive than Skywest pilots pay and work rules.
