*Is there commuter protection if you drive to work at a domicile and you hit traffic?
*And again, is it only a 2-hour callout at jet blue, or is there long-call or hot reserve?
JetBlue short call is 2 hours. Sometimes you get long call and then you have 14 hours. I am in my 3rd month on the line (JFK) and have had long call about 4 times. As far as length of time to hold a line....I know folks who are 320 FOs at JFK and they got a line in 5 months (May to Oct). It is a little hard to predict though due to all the hiring and the fact that some very senior FO's in JFK choose to be on reserve (guys that live in domicile). So it's a moving target but I don't think that anybody getting hired today should expect to be on reserve for too long.
Sorry that you have to read through all the "thread hijacking" to get answers to your questions.
