Some assumptions here: unlike Delta, etc., Atlas operates all over the world, into less than ideal airfields and in somewhat austere conditions. Other Supplementals do the same, operating into an airfield for the first time, no advance survey team, minimal information, etc. Has Delta operated into Al Asad?
That being said, what if they'd landed at Kinshasa instead of Brazzaville? Or couldn't find a military base in Egypt or Oman that's not on any chart? I would expect a carrier like Atlas would have a little more emphasis in their training in order to avoid the "oops, we made a mistake but don't say anything because it may happen to you".
