Are you saying that a compass holdback results in DAL deciding to have empty seats in the training classes, or that contractually the position of seniority is retained even if the flow is delayed?
Not sure if Delta will fill the class spots or just have a smaller class but the Compass flow pilots will have a seniority date even if they are held back at Compass up to 90 days.
Example: 20 Compass pilots offered Delta class date of Jan 13th. All 20 held back 90 days until mid-April class date. All 20 will have a seniority date of hire at Delta of Jan 13th even though they are not physically sitting in new hire class until April.
