16 days off a month? Not even possible at Emirates as we have a max 15 days off per month… oh and 7 day max in a row! Company has said only working 9-12 days off a month as in a 777 line at a legacy carrier is akin to "stealing from the company"!! Wow…. Oh, and this month I have over 91 hours hard flying and only 8 days off!
Just an fyi for everyone.
Maybe the productivity here is a tad more than most US carriers?

Are you going to leave EK? It would take a lot to walk away from the left seat there. The money is too good. I just had this conversation with my brother (EK 330/340 CA) about coming back to the US. The pay cut is too steep for too long. I'd much rather see EK and EY bring US basing so that guys like me dont have to make a painful decision. I guess it depends on how you view what these airlines have done for the industry. Theyre the best product service wise. The pilots have their gripes, but I'll take 80-90 double crew hours a month in a 777 over 80 hours flying a 737 up and down the east coast in a 2 man crew. Its all about perspective. I like the product these airlines offer.
