I haven't received an interview invitation, however, I may need to take a set of orders that will commit me to military service for the next 18-24 months.
Currently a traditional guardsman and flying at a regional. Hoping to get an interview in the next 6-12 months, then transition directly to that job 6-12 months later.
You will not be able to defer for 18-24 months - not even close.
However, if you do not have orders at the time of being hired you could get hired and then drop MIL leave if and when your orders come through. This is a tricky area and I recommend being honest or you could be burning bridges you may want to cross in the future.
