I would defer for no more than 12 months. I need to do at least 12 months of this potential set of AGR orders, but would prefer to do 18 months to avoid burning some of those bridges (on the mil side) that you're talking about.

I lost the bet I made on getting a job at a major by leaving AD 15 months ago. Circumstances require that I go back to O-4 pay until a major calls. I'm sure the phone will ring shortly after signing the commitment, but I have to play my current hand…
