But seeing how today is yet another day of no reserve, I'll tangle a bit...by scab-a-thon, are you referring to that wicked, evil, satan breeding scab company "CAL", who hired the poor furloughed UAL pilots at like 100 bones or more an hour( in a sheety *** economy, mind you)?? This merger has brought out the best and yet the worst of some keyboard commands, but from an entertaining perpestive, it's glorious!
"CAL" didn't hire the furloughed pilots. United did. They put them on the old L-CAL side of the airline because it was cheaper to do that.

The only reason there was still a CAL side was because we needed a SLI to integrate and the company recognized the cost savings of the no work rules contract on that side, and took advantage of that as long as possible.

CAL stopped existing well before they furloughed pilots came back.
