"CAL" didn't hire the furloughed pilots. United did. They put them on the old L-CAL side of the airline because it was cheaper to do that.
The only reason there was still a CAL side was because we needed a SLI to integrate and the company recognized the cost savings of the no work rules contract on that side, and took advantage of that as long as possible.
CAL stopped existing well before they furloughed pilots came back.
I sure hope your on LTD or FMLA, because we( Ual) do these things called random pee test...and I'm pretty sure they do test for that crack your smoking!
