I know I've heared that you can do it with prior permission (following the regs etc....). My question for Skywest guys is....is it realistic?
I start ground school on May 7 at Skywest and I am not a young pup that can suck it up for a year. (not that any of us really can

) I have the opportunity to continue flying at my current job on a very part time basis that will allow me to make ends meet.
Would it be easy enough to give up a trip here or there so that I can make some cash at my old (current) job? or is it not realistic because of bidding, reserve, work rules, etc....
Also, how willing are the chief pilots to help out in this instance? Do they really frown upon it or are they willing to support it?
Thanks
