Did the flight attendants really have a buffet in JFK the day before Thanksgiving, too?
I know this is a loaded statement and I'll probably get slack for it....I'm sure there was a time when management over-catered to pilots and spoiled them, but know we have gone so far in the opposite direction it's pathetic.

I had the holiday off, but regardless, it would've been nice for the company to go a little above the menial gesture of providing a meal for pilots who had to work over the holiday.
A nice, hot buffet served by a manger from the chief pilot's office would be much more genuine of gesture as opposed to a brown bag filled with a constructive-engagement turkey and good faith mashed potatoes. Granted it is the thought that counts, but sometimes it's also the degree of effort.
