Ours did the same at cal. But it has no bearing when groups are merged. Airlines hire at different times, go through bankruptcies, buy and sell aircraft. Your years of service at your old company don't matter in a fair lists, only what you bring to the table, so to speak. ALPA changed that to help UAL pilots.
