MEI or just pay for the time.
Well just got the email and looks like the aerial mapping work is slowing down and its almost time to start furloughing pilots which puts me in a delima. I have my CFI already and enough total time to get a interview at most regionals that I want to go to but its the pesky multi-time thats killing me. I have about 75 right now and have a few options to get to 100. First I can just simply pay for it it will run me about 5 grand but I could get it done in about a week. Or i can spend a week getting my CFI-I and MEI and then instruct for who knows how long if I could find a school with a multi-engine aircraft tand will let me start out in the multi so I can get the rest of the hours. I know the airlines would probably rather see me instruct but I know my heart won't be in it and I will just be trying to get in a get out and would feel bad because I would most likely leave some students hanging. Worst of all I could forget the places I would like to go and just get on with one of the regionals that don't require as much multi but again I would not be happy and would stay unhappy for a while. So any ideas which route I should go?!?!
