I realize I meet the requirements but my question to the experienced guys as in yourself in your opinion would it help to take a 121 job in ATR I've been offered to build some 121 and more turbine time to help put my self in a better position to be hired into the Atlas family. After reading the whole thread, I didn't find anyone with qualifications in my realm. I'm in a position where if i take that job i will take a huge pay cut and put myself in a position where i know i will leave the company ASAP and its not my personality to do that but if i have to for a higher percent chance of moving on then I would do it. Thanks
From what I have seen Atlas likes to take all walks of life with a variety of experiences. They have hired people with zero PIC turban time, they have even interviewed people that didn't meet the mins! They have hired people that had not flown in a year... they seem to be willing to take anyone to the interviews. As for your situation, there is no guarantee that the ATR job will get you looked at any more than not taking the ATR job. What Atlas does like to see is your face at a conference booth, that has proved to produce better results than any one experience.

The ATR experience certainly won't hurt is another way to look at it. The 74/76 classes are quite challenging and I'm sure any employer would like to see that you have had the experience of getting through a few.

Hope that helps.
