Your indoc and systems training will be done in Dayton. Be thankful you do not have to reside at the old Dayton Airport Inn and eat at good old Wilburs.
If I can implore anything on you it is this, you will NOT be SPOON FED! The systems portion is all CBT computer based and it is up to YOU to take the time, go into the learning center, log on and study. I remember studying till all hours of the night and that included weekends. DO not go home on weekends either! Stay put and study! It is only a few months or whatever it is now, you have the rest of your life to travel and party, take the time to learn and study.
As far as the interview I know the written has been changed a few times, I am sorry I do not have current info on that test but I am sure there are a few on here just hired who do. The "sim" portion is a desk top pcad. Our sim is being used 24-7, therefore they do not take it down to perform sim check interviews. The pcad is touchy and is an md80. Do not get bent out of shape or nervous, just fly the profile. The instructor knows you are not an md80 pilot, they want to see if you are TRAINABLE.
As far as the HR and technical portion of interview, just be yourself and know the systems on the aircraft you currently fly. Remember, this is about getting to know you and if you will be a good fit. Best of luck! And if anything, learn from the experience.
Great advice.
