Just out of curiosity...do you call in fatigued every time you don't sleep well in the hotel? What has the company's response been?
That's unfortunate to hear that you haven't had great support. And no, of course I don't. I typically sleep well and I can usually operate very well after one night of poor sleep. But there are certain situations where I wouldn't. Be it time zone related, other life situations, etc where the added fatigue of a very poor nights sleep may make it unsafe for me to be in a cockpit. And soon we have to sign that we're fit to be there. If I'm truly not, I don't want to be there not giving it my undevided attention.
