You need to realize that there are people here who spend part of their days being tough guys in the internet while being a nobody who lacks a spine. PSA pilots accepted concessions in exchange for airplanes while their company was profitable, people flock to RAH for the possible quick upgrade and a chance to fly a large RJ, Mesa is getting guys to work there with arguably one of the worse contracts in aviation. People line up to go to Compass whom prior to their new contract was lacking in major areas but offered the chance at a quick upgrade, same for GoJet. There is a fight between ASA pilots and EXJ pilots over a contract and now you have EAGLE getting a chance to amend their contract while the company makes billions in profits annually in exchange for airplanes. I suspect the cuts will be voted in. Many will bark foul but they won't bite, I recommend spending less time arguing with a select few here and just helping pass constructive information to those than seek it. Help educate the younger ones as that lacks in our country.
Exactly! It is my hope that pilots will opt to go work for companies that have good work rules and treat pilots well so that the ones that disrespect their work force, by asking for concessions, will struggle to staff their airplanes. In the current environment, management teams are going to fight over who gets the few pilots that are available. I hope ASA/XJT stand strong like Eagle did and vote down a concessionary contract and work to get improved pay and work rules. If they do that then maybe those few pilots looking for a regional job will have a desire to go work there cause they will be paid more and have a better QOL than so many of the other regionals. Are there people who don't agree with that?
