As far as any thoughts , HR sorts out the levels of experience to meet the needs of the company. They offer classes and tell guys what to expect for equipment. That said the oldest guys usually get their first choice(75/76). Now can an rj driver end up in ANC. Maybe, but just as likely they end up 75/76. Just depends on the needs of UPS. I know of one guy in the APR 23 class who was a 747 driver I don't know what equipment he's on yet. Believe it or not, all of the 747 drivers I know who were hired up until now have so far ended up on the 75/76(their choice). Pretty much blows out the go to the MD11 based on type of flying experience idea most people in this forum would think is the norm. So with all of that said . I can't quite figure out a lot of the how, who,and where. I just know that HR figures it out. I do think I will get a class date(-400?). I know that I have been in the pool a long time but there have been others who have been in longer and they got classes. So until then I'll enjoy flying with my happy boxes in my big jet all over the place. Its really that easy and most of the time fun. Anc is getting warm, days are getting longer, the beer is cold, and FISHING season is coming .Swimming like an otter.
