Bump yes, Flush no
DEN and ORD 76T are close to 40% on RSV both seats. IAD is not much better. JFK actually needs bodies, which explains the new hire seats. THe company's strategy is a good one....make it miserable and hope for voluntary movement out of the overstaffed bases....but they will have to bump eventually. THis last vacancy did see some 76T guys jump ship, but not near enough. The ex-UAL 757-200 count has dropped from 96 at MAD to 85 last qtr to 78 today. A very aggressive schedule. When they do bump, there doesn't have to be a "flush", or secondary bumps. There haven't been many 737 CAP vacanies. Part of that is they are still training from the last system bid, but part MAY be anticipation of displaced 76T pilots moving into those seats. They don't have to be in a hurry. The longer they wait, the more voluntary movement there will be...but summer is coming. I suspect we will see a bump in Spring if not sooner. In the mean time, as I've said, enjoy the paid ski vacation...
