Sorry, but it happens all the time -- at the mainline, LCC, cargo and regional level. What's unfair is that somehow, someone, insisted on preferential interviews with a different set of hiring minimums for a group of pilots.
That happened at regionals all the time. Especially Pinnacle. Normal mins 1200/200? No problem, just pay $40k for a "jet transition course" for JetU, ATP, or Riddle and you can come with 250/10! And just out of curiosity, I'm interested to hear what people like you and ShyGuy think about the "fairness" about the new ATP rule and airline hiring. Is it fair that because you went to a school with a powerful state lobbyist that you can have reduced hiring mins vs someone that went to a different aviation school but needs the full time?
