The "last non-fly day before an on-call day" part you are talking about only refers to an electronic placement on your schedule. If you have started your reserve days - and are not currently flying a trip, scheduling MUST attempt to contact you via telephone. Either way, you must acknowledge by 3 hours prior to report.
