"If Eagle is divested or AMR and/or AA merges with another carrier while Eagle remains wholly owned, furlough protection will be provided to 95% of the Eagle pilots on the Eagle pilot system seniority list as of the date of the approval by the Bankruptcy Court of the restructuring agreement." - Eagle pilot contract.

They threaten to make Eagle into Comair II, but who cares. They have to take almost all the pilots on the seniority list. They will have 7000 mandatory retirements in the next ten years. I had a thread about this a while back and I got nothing but grief. I say turn it down and make them put those planes at mainline where they should be. Eagle should push for full flow. No one gets hired at AA except through Eagle. Otherwise, let them furlough protect everyone, I don't care. Even if we get 10% pay raises, it is still the wrong thing to do for our careers, the new entrants, and the industry.
