The old 8 day, 46hr. NRT-SIN trip, thanks to FAR117, is now a 10 day, 62hr. trip.

After bid awards there were about 25 of them in open time, because PBS couldn't build very many lines with it. But now, after a few PCS runs, most of them have been sucked up through swaps, and the open time is nearly all 32 hr. JNB trips.

It's the old rule of unintended consequences, guys are going to be flying MORE, not less, so of course they'll be more rested...

Oh, and it's going to cost the company a small fortune because they are now going to pay 62 hours to cover the same legs flown as the old 46hr. trip.
