Job Description - Senior Engineering Test Pilot (221859)

Job Summary: Description

Conduct assigned flight testing and support Engineering with the development, certification, and entry into service of new or modified airplanes. Some travel required.

Responsibilities:


•Lead technical discussions regarding the design of airplanes, systems and installed equipment to ensure that certification requirements and customer expectations are met.
•Participate in the definition, scheduling, and planning of flight tests for development and certification of products.
•Conduct flight testing for the purposes of developing products that meet customer expectations and demonstrating compliance to certification requirements.
•Report on the results of flight testing and coordinate with appropriate groups to resolve deficiencies in the product.
•Review and approve test plans, reports and other documents related to the conduct of flight testing.
•Guide or participate in the development of customer-deliverable documents such as the Airplane Flight Manual, Master Minimum Equipment List, Pilot Training Manual/Operators Manual, and Production Flight Test Specification.

Qualifications: Education

B.S. in Engineering required; Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering degree preferred.

Position Requirements:

•13years of flight test engineering experience desired.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
•Knowledge of flight test techniques and standard practices required.
•2000 flight hours PIC required.
•3000 flight hours total time desired.
•Test Pilot DER required. Full authority in all delegated areas desired.
