Actually this is not true, every SKW and EXJ crew that I've talked to and heard of have always used their airline's name to include their FA. On the hand, RAH pilots and FA routinely say the fly for "Republic Eagle", "American Eagle" or "American". Yes I've hear all 3 of these and I am not the only one. There have been fun explanations to why they call themselves this but the one they use the most is Republic Eagle, on the Eafle Forum there are many threads with FB post from RAH folks calling themselves this and salivating over flying more Ejets on behalf of AA.

***discalimer***. It's new hires who say this crap as they don't know better, but you don't see this with SKW and EXJ. Republic Eagle, ha ha.
