The more you guys try to fight and save regional airlines, the longer these places will linger and degrade the profession. If the regionals continue to get worse, my hope is that no one will want to work for them. That, coupled with the pilot shortage, will hopefully cause these cesspool regionals to collapse and put the jobs back where they belong.
Says the guy/gal who has made it to the majors and no longer has a dog in this fight. I agree with you but it is very easy, sitting where you are, to make a comment like the one above no matter how true it is. Congrats on making it to the Majors! Not trying to start a debate. The majority of regional pilots looked at regionals as a stepping stone. Since the airline market is so volatile one never knows when the hiring will pick up at the majors. It's easier to get a job when you have a job and that is especially true with airlines. I've never been at a major so I don't have the perspective that you have but have have no doubt that what you say is 100% true about comparable QOL.
Again congrats on making it to the "show!"
