We were fed the same lines of bs; "this is a first contract" and "this is as good as it gets" from the top down at 1224 and our contract has so many loop holes and grey areas its embarrassing.
Good luck to you guys at Allegiant and I hope you pilot reps are sharp and on the ball when it comes to dealing with management and the 1224.
This bears repeating. The 1224 will sell you down the river once they get fed up with spending money on your negotiations. They single-handedly torpedoed Omni's strike vote by sending a member of the local to negotiate directly with the President, without any Omni pilot representation. The result was the first TA which was abhorrent. It was a concessionary agreement that was
worse than our original non-union employee handbook.
