Welcome to the party. There is a TON of information on qualifications under the respective airline threads -- United has about 300 folks who posted their quals starting back from last March or so. Nothing has been consolidated yet.

Regardless -- from the military side, most are 3000-5000 hour guys, over 1000 hr of IP time, and a majority (i.e. 80%) are EP types . Like E6 said in the previous thread, if you are skimming the minimums, you may be waiting a year until "more qualified" (i.e. by the numbers) guys get a call.

There is no magical formula that is made public that I have seen.
