It means Compass guys / gals get their seniority number and get to bid an aircraft with the class date that they were supposed to be in. One would have thought that an almost 7 month lead time would have been more than enough time to train the replacements.

Delta can then choose whether or not to backfill those 20 spots of the Compass pilots who are being held back. With a 90 day hold back, potentially 60 more off the street / SSP hires could get class dates Jan - Mar. The rumor I'm hearing is the Jan 13 class will not be backfilled. Feb, who knows, and Mar there may or may not be spots depending on how long the hold back is.
