If Eagle and XJT accept the proposals, SKW will be the next target, then Air Wisconsin, then Horizon, then Mesa etc.
By the time that cycle is done, we'll all be flying 90 seat "RJ's" and management will outsource more of the flying to regionlas, which leads to fewer mainline jobs, and puts downward pressure on mainline salaries.
For the first time, the "shortage" may be a real thing, at least at the regional level. This is the only chance we've got at RAISING the standard, instead of actively lowering it.
Pilots of XJT and EGL have a chance to raise the bar for ALL regional pilots. Please think carefully before accepting concessions.
I agree with everything you said except the part about SkyWest. Fortunately we are working towards pay raises. The official proposal isn't out yet but everything I have heard is that they are bringing money to the table. It may not be much but it's a step in the right direction.
