Yup. It happens when a small mom-and-pop operation is transitioning to a "real" airline. The old guard who built the airline, though perhaps a bit unsophisticated, hung out at the airport and knew what was going on. In their place are 25-year-old MBA's who sit in windowless rooms in some officepark and believe everything their spreadsheets tell them. Everyone fom the newest line pilot to the chief pilot were telling the bean counters last summer they needed to hire & uograde pronto, and in large numbers. They didn't see it that way......
