How long prior to departure are United pilots permitted to list for the jumpseat? Do they show up as a SJ or SK code if I'm looking at the pass rider list? Just trying to figure out my options for my commute.
United can list as far in advance as you're able through employeeRes. Shows up as SJ1xx.
I will say, that in the past week I've had to show up unannounced at two flights after my PS was cnx or oversold. Gotten on both times, once in FC, once on the JS (last seat avail, door was about to close). One was in ORD during the chaos, the other in IAH during more chaos. Both times the CSR couldn't have been better, even with the stress and madness.
