In this case, the hat is flawed, the company admits it.. and the pilots have been keeping flight operations together with their failures....
so the CPO isn't going to ding anyone for not wearing the hat... they just don't have the capacity to do that... but more importantly as pilots, by wearing the hat you are enabling and excusing failure....
Don't complain when the next company responsibility is a failure and you're expected to accept it anyway.... cause you just did with your horny hat.

Well said.
The crazy part is that we've been run by hacks like Pete McDonald for so long that many here simply accept it as fact that things like hats matter and that we should be scared. Screw the fact that we lost a billion in fuel hedges over the last year, well north of a billion in revenue on the Shares debacle (the gift that keeps on giving), and likely some very large number in Jan 14 re: the changeover of Jan 14 (records management for training, the 117 implementation fiasco, LCAL PBS and CCS all happening over one week).
We're being run by a bunch of hack regional airline managers that are worried about whether we fall into line by wearing our hats in conjunction with our clown uniforms. Yeah, let's worry about that instead of the fact that we're under-performing Delta by north of a billion a year despite a substantial wage differential in our favor. Hats... yep, that's the issue holding us back.
