On the other hand...

Contract negotiations at ABX and Astar are ongoing, with both groups being told that future growth will depend upon conciliations now. Both have pledged not to accept a conciliatory contract. Despite efforts by both unions, tensions between the pilot groups are strained. Starting a rumor like this right now will certainly provide some lively conversation among the flight crews of both carriers for weeks to come.

Thanks for the entertainment!

Alright then, at the risk of dampning your "entertainment" let me go ahead and put this to bed. From what I can tell, from JS on ABX and what we're getting over here.....both groups are negotiating well and they seem to be be going well on both sides. I know there may be some strain, but by in large, it's no big deal on either side cause we ALL know that fundamentally, at the end of the day, it's not gonna be Joe H or John D. that calls the shots. I think once the contracts are signed then we'll see the future unfold. Till then, it'll be anybody's guess. Period. Whistlin, you can go back to watchin soaps and pontificating about the future.
