I don't have an absolute answer backed by facts, but based on personal experience and my understanding of the fleet retirement schedule. I would say it would be very, very easy to hold on to 76T until the fleets are merged and then stay on 756 in EWR. If you were in DEN or ORD it would be a different story, but being in JFK I think you can expect there to be openings from now until we stop hiring.
That's the first I've heard of United STOPPING the hiring, please say it ain't so!
