Technically, it doesn't matter if she's a lineholder or not. She could've been on R-1 or R-2 and was then assigned a pattern with a long weekend in CVG in between domestic runs. CBA just says more than 48 hours in base without an assignment. Would've been the same for JFK on those GEO/POS trips if they'd built a long sit in base in between flights.
Seniority works pretty well in CVG. If you're senior, you bid what you want, and for the most part it stays intact. JFK just doesn't have any lines to bid. Seniority counts for bidding your footprint, and that's about it. The DHL stuff just doesn't require many changes (normally). Some of the 747 guys say their patterns change every time they land. That said, I would love to get bid or trip pay protection. That would reassert seniority in a big way.
