Just out of curiousity, how many letter's of rec do you guys have that are getting the emails for interview?
6 total: 1 personal, 2 internal professional, 1 personal/professional from a guy I do volunteer work with, 2 professional from other crew members whom I've flown with at my current company
I was told by a few people internally that the recs help get you the interview, and they aren't even looked at by those who do the interviewing on Day 1.
