It was a good job by ACPA in negotiating this. The A340 which the 777 is replacing was only paying $214 an hour. While the new 777 pay is $227 an hour. Originaly AC tried to screw all the pilots over.... but managment thought if they dangled 787's and 777's in front of the pilots they would take any kind of contract for them.... boy where they wrong, the pilots voted it down and AC had to cancel the Boeing order. It was replaced after like a year when the pilots got what they wanted(lost a couple years on their production line spot) Its good to see things are on an upswing.
Hopefully this trend will continue down south.
